As negotiations over a debt-ceiling deal continue with little or no progress, President Obama sat down with newish CBS Evening News anchor Scott Pelley today, warning viewers that he “cannot guarantee that those [Social Security] checks go out on August 3rd if we haven’t resolved this issue.
