He thinks the plan to build a garbage transfer station by LaGuardia Airport is a "terrible" idea because it's "likely to attract birds," which can down planes and require their brave captains to save the day by landing on the river. "And so, by choosing to put this kind of facility so close ... they're relying on essentially Band-Aid kind of mitigations that we're hoping will be perfect — you know, the real world is messier than that."
