The Wall Street Journal, that great recipient of Apple leaks, tells us this afternoon that Sprint will at last get the iPhone in mid-October, when Apple releases the much-awaited iPhone 5. This is great news for Sprint customers who have been eagerly looking forward to the device, but also indicates that it’s running a bit behind schedule. Observers expected the upgrade to hit shelves earlier so that sales could boost Apple’s fourth fiscal quarter (which ends in September). [WSJ]
