Al Qaeda Magazine’s American Creator Also Killed in Yemen

Samir Khan, the American man behind the Al Qaeda magazine Inspire, was reportedly killed in the CIA drone strike this morning that targeted radical cleric Anwar al-Awlaki, also a U.S. citizen. Kahn, a self-described proud traitor and proponent of “media jihad,” lived in North Carolina as recently as four years ago, and moved to Yemen in 2009. [The Lede/NYT]
