Cortlandt Street Subway Stop Fully Reopens

Trains began running on the southbound R/N track today, marking the first time the station has been completely operational since 2005, when it shut down for the construction of a pedestrian concourse linked to the Fulton Street Transit Center. (Previously, it closed for a year after it sustained damage during the World Trade Center’s collapse.) The reopening also marked a rare opportunity for the MTA to take credit for a met deadline, having vowed to have the work completed by the tenth anniversary of 9/11. [NYP]
