John Heilemann on Hardball: Chris Christie Will Regret Not Running

By

Our own John Heilemann visited Hardball today to discuss one of the last remaining will-he-won't-he's of the early 2012 season: New Jersey governor Chris Christie. It's starting to get late to announce (although some are calling on him to do so), and Heilemann says if Christie wants to run even a little bit, now's the time. He notes that in 2004 Hillary Clinton was also being called on to run, but didn't. Then, when she did decide to run four years later, Barack Obama — a much tougher competitor than Howard Dean or John Kerry — was in "his moment." "I think Chris Christie may regret it for the rest of his life if he doesn't run," Heilemann said.
