NYPD Officer Accused of Rape Was Merely ‘Cheating’

Michael Pena, the NYPD officer said to have raped a woman at gunpoint in August, has at least admitted to being a bad boyfriend. A police report read in court yesterday says that, upon his arrest, Pena told a sergeant he wanted to call his girlfriend but was reluctant to because, in his words, "How am I going to call her when I got arrested for cheating with another girl?" It's true, that's a tough one — though possibly not his biggest problem. [NYP]
