Conservative radio host Bill Bennett, the second speaker at the Values Voter Summit this morning, harshly condemned the anti-Mormon remarks of Pastor Robert Jeffress yesterday. “Do not give voice to bigotry,” Bennett criticized, adding, “You did Rick Perry no good, sir, in what you had to say.” This was greeted with applause, but not that much applause. And lots of murmuring.
Update: “How about that Bill Bennett?” Romney said when he took the stage this morning. “Isn’t he something else?”
