Carlos Slim Grabs a Little Bit More of the New York Times Company

Just like he did in August, billionaire Carlos Slim took advantage of low stock prices to buy more shares of the New York Times Co. yesterday, upping his stake in the company from 7.5 to 8.1 percent. Upon news of the purchase, the shares jumped 12.7 percent. So he’s not leaving business for Broadway just yet. [WSJ]
