Jury Decides Bloomberg Was Robbed

Political operative John Haggerty was found guilty today of grand larceny in the second degree and money laundering for taking nearly $900,000 of Michael Bloomberg's money. In a confusing trial with an unlikely victim, prosecutors said the mayor donated $1.1 million of his personal funds to the Independence Party to pay for "ballot security" measures during his latest reelection campaign, but that Haggerty bought a house instead.
