SNL Stands With Occupy Wall Street

By

After SNL satirized Fox News's coverage of Occupy Wall Street two weekends ago, there shouldn't have been any doubt about whether the variety show sympathized with the protest movement. But just to confirm, take a look at their opening sketch from a couple of days ago, in which Mayor Bloomberg, as portrayed by Fred Armisen, delivers an official address about OWS. The jokes come at the expense of Bloomberg himself (for his nanny-stateism and relentless pimping of the city as a tourist attraction), New Yorkers in general (for freaking out about natural disasters), and even Alex Rodriguez (for being terrible at baseball) — but nothing targeted at the protesters.
