Council Speaker Christine Quinn is, apparently, a big fan of gum. So much of a fan that she neglected to spit it out during a press conference with Mayor Michael Bloomberg. This did not escape the eagle eye of the local CBS affiliate, which zeroed in for an extreme closeup of her jawline, in addition to bringing in an etiquette expert to explain exactly how impolite Quinn was being.
Next week, an in-depth investigation into Quinn’s lunchtime habit of scraping her fork and knife together to make that really painful scratchy metal-on-metal noise.
