Former mayor Edward Koch said on Monday that he’s supporting City Council Speaker Christine Quinn as NYC’s next mayor. But why endorse a candidate two years before the election, Ed? “I’m 87 today — I’m not looking to roll up i.o.u.’s.,” he said.
The endorsement came after Koch’s first choice, Police Commissioner Ray Kelly, decided not to run.
