Venezuelan President Hugo Chavez speaks during a press conference at the Miraflores presidential palace in Caracas on December 6, 2011. Chavez said that he will travel to Brazil on December 11 --after attending Argentine president Cristina Kirchner's inauguration-- to pay a visit to former Brazilian President Luiz Inacio Lula da Silva, affected by cancer, like himself. "It would not be strange if they had developed the technology to induce cancer and nobody knew about it until now." — Venezuelan president Hugo Chavez, suggesting that the United States could be responsible for all the South American presidents who have been diagnosed with cancer, and ignoring the fact that, if the United States had the power to control cancer, it would have saved Patrick Swayze.
