John Heilemann on Morning Joe: Newt Gingrich’s Strategy to Fight Till the End

By

Today on Morning Joe, our own John Heilemann attempted to lay out Newt Gingrich's strategy through the Southern primaries and going forward, noting that Gingrich's best friend right now is Ron Paul, who can help keep the fight with Mitt Romney going and Gingrich treading water. "A lot of candidates, when they are losing, say things like, 'We will fight to the end' and then they are out a few days later," Heilemann said. But, "Newt Gingrich is angry enough at the Establishment, and he has enough national name I.D., and enough of a base in the South among conservatives that he can fight all the way."
