The New York Times tracked down the able-bodied guy from the year’s most controversial stock photo, which the NYC Department of Health digitally altered to remove one of the man’s legs. The city’s ad is a warning about “type 2 diabetes, which can lead to amputations,” but the model prefers sugar to scare tactics: “He said if a soda company ‘would like to call me so we can do a commercial, I’ll sing and dance for them and I won’t charge an arm and a leg.’” Aspiring actors are something, aren’t they?
