A man was captured on surveillance camera taking a painting by a Brooklyn street artist on Tuesday. The painting was on display outside the Woodward Gallery on the Lower East Side. The artist whose painting (valued at $5,000 to $6,000) was taken, named Moody, isn’t particularly angry. “I really don’t want to see anyone get into trouble, but I’d like to get my painting back,” he said. You hear that, possible kleptomaniac guy with a hat on who just walked up to the piece and strolled off with it? He just wants his painting back. Don’t be a jerk.
