Rupert Murdoch Can’t Get Enough of the NYC DoE

Rupert Murdoch, who this summer appointed former New York City schools chancellor Joel Klein to a nebulous executive role, has gone shopping at the Department of Education again. His newest hire is Natalie Ravitz, the department’s communications director, who formerly worked for Senator Barbara Boxer and scored a spot on Politico’ s most eligible singles list a couple years back. As Politicker NY reports, Ravitz will take a post as Murdoch’s chief of staff. So either Klein, who’s known Murdoch for nearly a decade and a half, brought Ravitz onboard,  or Murdoch’s decided that he is as difficult to handle as more than a million unruly schoolchildren. (Next up, a spelling specialist for his Twitter feed?)  Could be either one, really.
