Wind Takes Brooklyn Billboard Down Onto BQE

High winds brought a 200 x 300 foot billboard crashing onto the Brooklyn-Queens Expressway over Meeker Avenue in Brooklyn this afternoon, halting traffic temporarily in both directions. "I was afraid it was going to fall and kill us," a witness told DNA Info. "It was shaking and making sounds." No injuries have been reported, but a building sustained damage and the fire department noted a gas smell in the area. The crazy wind can also be blamed for everyone's messy hair.
