Associated Press Names a New President

Gary Pruitt, currently the CEO of the McClatchy newspaper chain, will ascend to one of the highest posts in journalism in July, when he becomes the president of the Associated Press. Pruitt has been at McClatchy for almost 30 years, having also served on the AP's board of directors for the last nine, and hopes, like every media exec these days, to continue the massive news agency's growth "as a digital force."
