Barack Obama, Design Critic

One of the stops on Barack Obama's fund-raising tour the other night was a $10,000-a-head party at the Upper East Side home of his interior decorator, Michael Smith (who also was the tastemaker behind John Thain's infamous 2008 office renovation). Obama, it seems, believes himself to have a refined eye for interior design. The Post:

“The president said, ‘You know, Michael has been working with me, and we don’t always agree over taste, so this is a good opportunity to come to his home and critique him.’ He looked around and said, ‘Nice,’ then he looked behind him, and said, ‘I don’t know about this.’

If only we knew what "this" was! A too-too bit of wallpaper? A frame cluster? A Noguchi coffee table?
