Primary Day Already a Disaster for Newt Gingrich

WASHINGTON, DC - JUNE 27: Speaker of the US House of Representatives Newt Gingrich, (L), is assisted by Jack Hanna (R), director of the Columbus, Ohio, zoo, while holding a two-month-old Bengal tiger during a visit by Hanna to Capitol Hill in Washington, DC 27 June. Hanna brought several animals for the visit, including a boa constrictor and a red-tailed hawk. Even though his continued presence in the GOP race is clearly just an excuse to visit zoos around the country on Sheldon Adelson's dime, a planned Gingrich campaign stop at the Birmingham Zoo today has been canceled "as a precaution after reviewing weather reports," according to a Gingrich press release.
