State Republicans still intend to nominate Matt Doheny to run for Democratic incumbent Bill Owens's upstate seat, despite the recent kerfuffle over his documented hands-on "friendliness." But party chairman Mike Long sounds anything but bullish. “Hopefully, this incident will not lead to anything else,” he told the Post. “I would hope it ends here.” As for Doheny's campaign, they're girding for what may be a recurring problem for their candidate.
