Ron Paul on Leno: Code Names and a Brokered Convention

NEWTON, IA - DECEMBER 28: Republican presidential candidate U.S. Rep Ron Paul (R-TX) looks on before the start of a town hall meeting at the Iowa Speedway on December 28, 2011 in Newton, Iowa. Ah, isn't it nice to hear from Ron Paul again? The sort-of presidential hopeful paid a visit to Jay Leno tonight, where he wore a striped tie and sat up straight on the couch with his hands clasped in his lap.

Leno asked Paul what his Secret Service name would be after Romney's and Santorum's were revealed yesterday. "Bulldog," Paul answered instantly. Okay, Ron Paul.

Paul also discussed the possibility of a brokered convention, explaining that delegates might be able to change their minds if the nomination were still undecided in August. "The second go-around, they can go with their conscience," he said, "then, I believe, we'll get a lot of the votes." Okay again, Ron Paul.
