A small bomb exploded at a Planned Parenthood clinic in Grand Chute, Wisconsin, last night. According to a statement from the organization, a homemade device was placed on the windowsill of the Appleton Health Center at around 7:30 p.m., causing a fire that had burned out by the time the fire department arrived on the scene. No one was injured and the building, which sustained a limited amount of damage, is set to reopen by Tuesday.
Update: Local police, the FBI's Milwaukee Division, and the Justice Department’s Civil Rights Division are investigating the incident. Meanwhile, Rick Santorum — no friend of the organization — has issued a statement. It reads, in part, "While we can and should work to defund Planned Parenthood and push back against government mandates that force Americans and religious institutions to violate their faith, violence against our fellow citizens has no place in a freedom-loving America."
