Bloomberg Opposes Calls By Egypt's President to Free Terrorism-Inspiring Sheikh

On the eve of his swearing in as Egypt's first freely-elected (and Islamist) president, Mohamed Morsi yesterday called for the United States to release blind Sheikh Obar Abdel Rahman, the blind mastermind behind the 1993 World Trade Center bombing. Not surprisingly, New York Mayor Michael Bloomberg is not a fan of this plan, saying that he will oppose any effort to "undermine" the life sentence of a man "who tried to kill so many."
