An embattled Bill Clinton told the soothing, comforting beard of Wolf Blitzer today that he’s “very sorry” about publicly clashing with President Obama on the Bush tax cuts. He then admitted that he actually didn’t even know when the Bush tax cuts were supposed to expire. “I thought something had to be done on the fiscal cliff before the election,” he told Blitzer. “Apparently nothing has to be done until the first of the year, so I think he should just stick with his position and negotiate when possible. ”
We guess it’s partly our fault, kind of, for assuming that Clinton was up to date on, you know, major matters of politics and policy.
And just in case it’s still unclear, Clinton thinks Obama has done a good job and would like him to win the election.
