FDNY Will Compete at Monster Jam With Its Own Gigantic Truck

New York City Mayor Michael Bloomberg has announced widespread budget cuts and layoffs due to the city`s budget deficit of 3.3 billion for the fiscal year beginning July 1, 2011.With a city workforce that totals 300,000, the mayor plans to eliminate 10,000 jobs in the next 18 months through a combination of layoffs and attrition. The Fire Department unveiled the 10,000-pound behemoth on Tuesday. It will make its first and only appearance at Monster Jam Path of Destruction on Saturday, June 16, at MetLife Stadium. Afterward, Mayor Bloomberg will commandeer the beast for personal excursions now that he's forfeited his helicopter privileges.
