Heilemann on Last Word: No Good Place for Romney to Go on Immigration

Mitt Romney has an immigration problem. He has not said yet whether he would overturn President Obama's DREAM Act, telling Fox News in an interview, “What I can tell you is that those people who come here by virtue of their parents bringing them here, who came in illegally, that’s something I don’t want to football with as a political matter." New York's own John Heilemann visited Last Word With Lawrence O'Donnell on Tuesday to discuss Romney's quandary, saying that current demographic reality poses a problem to the Republican party, which may garner only a small fraction of the Hispanic vote this November. “There's no good place for Romney to go on immigration. He can't take a position that is both popular with the country, popular with Hispanics, and also popular with his base. There is no good answer."
