A disgruntled Chris Christie responded to a reporter's question with his own question at a press conference on Sunday— a rhetorical one. "Did I say on topic? Are you stupid?" According to NBC New York, the reporter asked the governor about the special joint session of the legislature Christie had called for on Monday, when the governor said he would only take questions about the water-main collapse in Monmouth County, the reason for the press conference. Christie at least had the common decency to remove all doubt later, saying of the reporter, "I’m sorry for the idiot over there.”
