It was one of the more unusual pairings on late-night television. Gingrich took a keen interest in Nicole “Snooki” Polizzi, marveling at her like some kind of mystical creature from his imagination come to life, an experience he often enjoys during his many trips to the zoo. Which is not to say that Snooki is a zoo creature; she’s unique for sure, it’s just unsettling the way 69-year-0ld Gingrich studies her and leans into her conversation with Leno. Newt might have even scored himself a guest appearance on Snooki’s new show, Snooki and JWOWW, where the reality show star suggests he’ll drink “Ron Ron Juice.” Yeah, it went there.
