The Secretary of State's motorcade was greeted with tomato-throwing and shouts of "Monica, Monica" on the streets of Cairo today. The demonstration was likely intended to protest her meeting with new president Mohamed Mursi, a member of the Islamist Muslim Brotherhood. (As Clinton explained, "The United States is not in the business, in Egypt, of choosing winners and losers, even if we could, which of course we cannot.")
