And it came from the agent’s holster, which is not a metaphor for anything. The agent left a loaded handgun in a bathroom on Mitt Romney’s campaign plane on Wednesday while the aircraft was flying the Republican nominee from Tampa to Indianapolis for a speech, the Times reports. A CBS News Producer discovered the gun and notified another agent, who secured it. According to the Associated Press, the absentminded agent belongs to the security detail assigned to Romney. The agent, who apparently left the gun behind by accident, was pulled off the plane in Indianapolis to “address the matter” which is code for “received a vicious verbal drubbing that caused whiplash.”
