Season passes to play tennis on the city's courts doubled from $100 to $200 last year, with one-time sessions up to $15 from $7, resulting in sinking sales. While wait times are down for those who can afford it, season passes were off 40 percent last year and the downward trend is continuing in 2012, as New Yorkers realize it's probably cheaper to just hit golf balls into the ocean from Rockaway.
