Nakoula Basseley Nakoula (also known as Sam Bacile), the Coptic Egyptian immigrant who produced the Islamophobic video responsible for the ongoing wave of deadly protests throughout the Muslim world, faced intense questioning from federal authorities last night in Los Angeles. It turns out that Nakoula, whose 2010 bank fraud conviction included a 5-year ban from using computers or the Internet, may have violated his probation by making Innocence of Muslims. He was released after officers declined to arrest or detain him, but a spokeswoman said the situation is still under review.
