After his requisite time in the media gulag, the Yahoo journalist fired for being caught on a hot microphone joking that Mitt Romney does not care about black people has landed on his feet. David Chalian is joining Politico as vice-president of video programming, the site announced today. Ahead of the RNC, during Hurricane Isaac, Chalian could be heard on a live broadcast exclaiming of Team Romney, "They're not concerned at all. They are happy to have a party with black people drowning." According to Politico editor-in-chief John Harris, "David screwed up, admitted he screwed up and paid the price of losing his job for screwing up."
