Viral teenage sensation Kara Alongi has gained well over 100,000 Twitter followers since she tweeted, "There is somone in my hour ecall 911" on Sunday evening, then hopped in a cab from her New Jersey home. Police say the message was a hoax — much to the surprise of the thousands who jumped on the #helpfindkara hashtag — and today released security footage showing the 16-year-old at the NJ Transit Rahway station, where she bought a ticket to New York City. "We want her to know it's okay to come home," her grandfather told Patch. "We know that she might be embarrassed or even fearful with all the words that have been out there, but we know she's got a great life ahead of her." And a whole lot of @-replies to sift through.
