The plan to make the McCarren Park Pool into an ice rink didn’t come together in time, so we’ll have to wait until next year to see what happens when parkgoers take their rowdy antics to the ice. The Prospect Park replacement for the Wollman Rink won’t be finished in time for skating season either. Looks like this is Coney Island’s big chance for a wintertime revival.
