Apple’s FUBAR new Maps software isn’t just an inconvenience for iPhone owners who have gotten lost since upgrading to the new iOS. It’s also highly unfortunate for Richard Williamson, the Apple executive who oversaw the mapping team, and who has reportedly been fired by SVP Eddy Cue over his role in the disastrous roll-out. We hope Williamson will use Google Maps to find the unemployment office, so he doesn’t end up on an airport runway instead.
