Kharey Wise, who spent over a decade in jail after falsely confessing to the infamous 1989 beating and rape of a jogger in Central Park, was arrested this past week for throwing a brick at his girlfriend, reports the New York Daily News. Wise’s lawyer says that her client is innocent of the charges. “It’s a shame he has to go through something like this again,” she said, adding that being handcuffed “brought up a lot of bad memories.” The girlfriend declined to comment on the matter; Wise is set to appear in court next week.
