Rodney Alcala, the convicted serial killer and former Dating Game contestant, is on death row in California for killing five people there in the 1970s, and he's almost certainly going to die there. But just in case he wins his appeal, he now has a 25-to-life sentence waiting for him in New York for the two people he killed here. The judge who sentenced Alcala on Monday broke down crying while delivering the sentence, The New York Times reports. She "paused for a long moment, sobbing," before going on to say, "I just want to say I hope the families find some peace and solace."
