Latin Not Totally Useless

Despite its reputation as a "dead language," Latin, as Miracle Max might say, is really only mostly dead. Giovanna Chirri, a Vatican reporter for Italy's ANSA news agency, proved that today when she got the scoop on Pope Benedict XVI's resignation because the announcement was delivered in Latin and she actually knows Latin. So take note, youth of America: Latin is still totally relevant if you aspire to become a Vatican journalist, or the Pope.
