After twenty years at the company, NBC News president Steve Capus is leaving "to head in a new direction," he announced today, following a restructuring that left him unhappy at the network and rampant speculation that his era was over. While NBC boasts the No. 1 evenings news broadcast, its Today show cash cow has slipped in the ratings, prompting nonstop rumors for months now that Capus would be let go. Maybe his old boss Jeff Zucker needs some help.
