It looks like there will be a happy ending for Bruno, the last dog remaining at a closing shelter for animal displaced by Sandy. In the day since New Yorkers heard his sad story, the seven-year-old Rottweiler has been relocated to Westchester's Northwind Kennels, which is now fielding "hundreds" of requests to give him a forever home — including one from a soldier in Afghanistan hoping to adopt a pet for his wife. We're happy for Bruno, and even more happy for ourselves: We were starting to feel pretty guilty about this one.
