Bassem Youssef, a satirist sometimes known as "Egypt's Jon Stewart" (his show's set even kind of looks the same), was arrested over the weekend and questioned for five hours for making fun of Islam and the country's president, the Muslim Brotherhood's Mohammed Morsi. Last night, Jon Stewart — also known as America's Jon Stewart — who had Youssef on his show in June, came to his comrade's defense.

You hear that, Morsi? A New York Jew thinks these charges are ridiculous!
