Just Never Say ‘Bomb’ in an Airport

Even if you’re only trying to discuss your lunch purchase, as 29-year-old Jason Michael Cruz was when he told a friend that he “had the wrong kind of bomb” while walking through JFK’s Terminal 7 on Thursday. A TSA agent overheard the remark and reported it to her supervisors, who quickly brought the pair into a holding area for questioning. By the time Cruz and his buddy, Matthew Okumoto, had explained that “The Bomb” is just an annoying name for some kind of sandwich, they had missed their flight to Los Angeles.
