CNN has newly released security footage of Tamerlan and Dzhokhar Tsarnaev working out together at a Boston mixed martial arts gym just three days before the marathon bombing. While Tamerlan, a boxer, was a regular, Dzhokhar had only showed up a few times before, and it shows when the pair jump rope in the ring. A third man, described as a friend, is with the Tsarnaevs and was reportedly questioned and released after the attack.
The gym manager present at the time said he noticed the elder brother had shaved his religious beard and argued with him upon entering about taking off his shoes. (Dzhokhar instantly complied.) After the dispute, the manager e-mailed the gym owner, requesting to ban Tamerlan, “saying he’s arrogant, selfish and never helps anyone else.”
