Two Arrested for Murder of Alphonza Bryant

Last week, during a speech denouncing legislation that would allow people to sue the NYPD for racial profiling, Mayor Bloomberg accused the New York Times of not caring about black people by pointing out that the paper failed to cover the shooting death of Alphonza Bryant, a 17-year-old who was killed while standing with his friends on a South Bronx street corner. Today, the Times reported that two unidentified suspects were taken into custody in connection with the murder, which investigators believe was "a case of mistaken identity." We're sure that the mayor will continue to follow the case closely, especially since the Times' editorial board published yet another criticism of his beloved stop-and-frisk program on Friday.
