Watch Jon Stewart on Egypt’s Daily Show

Two weeks after temporarily handing over The Daily Show desk to John Oliver, Jon Stewart paid a visit to his Egyptian counterpart Bassem Youssef, who hosts the country’s Daily Show equivalent, The Program (Al-Bernameg.) A vacation-bearded Stewart walked onto the Cairo set in the role of a hooded “foreign spy,” though Youssef quickly revealed his true identity — that of “a simple man,” as Stewart said in Arabic. He then switched back to English and took over the rest of the show, and the two friends talked about exactly what Stewart will be doing in Iran, the trouble with satire, and taxi drivers.
