Rather than reschedule, gay rights icon Larry Kramer married David Webster yesterday “in the intensive care unit of NYU Langone Medical Center, where Mr. Kramer has been recovering from surgery for a bowel obstruction.” Kramer had previously called same-sex unions in the DOMA era “feel-good marriages,” but after the Supreme Court’s decision, opted to go for it. Weber said the couple spoke extemporaneously in front of twenty guests: “Why would Larry need a script?”
